You need to know these brunch cocktails!
When Mr. F and I started dating, family gatherings had been a challenge at first but we learned fast and came up with an idea. We tried to avoid awkward moments right from the start and welcomed everyone with a cocktail at the door. You can imagine this helped well to liven up the situation. With Easter and Mother’s Day coming up I wanted to share my best brunch cocktails recipes. These are not the usual mimosa, bellini or Blood Mary, though still not for kiddos.
This recipe for blood orange mimosa is slightly sweetened with thyme and honey syrup and topped off with blood orange juice which makes a fresh combination of herbal, tart, and sweet.
is kind of a genius way to have coffee and a drink at the same time. This recipe contains aged rum and cold-brewed coffee because it makes a smooth and less acidic brew.
is a sparkling mojito-like cocktail with fresh mint, lemon and orange liqueur topped off with prosecco.
fresh pressed grapefruit, elderflower syrup, and vodka, just three ingredients, and ice cubes, it can’t be simpler than that, when it comes down to brunch cocktails.
Sgroppino is a tasty Italian vodka cocktail with lemon sorbet. I love it in the warmer months but vodka can be hard on you especially for brunch (in warm weather). I added pureed strawberries, orange sorbet, and prosecco and now it’s perfect for any time of the day.
